Tuesday Lowdown is tweeting we want Desmond Howard ALIVE

Yost and Bo are the only two coaches to nab two century mark wins. And the 1000th win is on pace for 12 years from now, given our recent winning percentage – giving Brady Hoke a sporting chance at hitting his second century mark win.

Injury news. MSU tight end Dion Sims, who accounts for the bulk of Michigan State's pass catching threat, is not on the depth chart for this week's game. Now, we here at Michigan look at an official mid-week depth chart and laugh. We're conditioned well enough to know that depth charts mean nothing after week 1. I mean, Devin Funchess is the best 4th string TE in the country! #amiright

But seriously, who knows how trustworthy this is. It's likely that he probably won't play. But it's also likely that Dantonio is just playing his cards close to the vest. It's also likely that I don't know what I'm talking about and you've already moved on to...

Vintage Meeechigan. MVictors shares some 70's Michigan goodness via local AA artist Jil Gordon, who's honor it is to paint the year and score each season on the Little Brown Jug. Back in the day, her canvas was various walls throughout the athletic campus.

Beat that Adidas promotional poster. I dare you!

Sparty Bob. For the rest of time, Spartan Bob, real name Bob Stehlin, will be entrenched into the lore of the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry. The 2001 matchup in East Lansing was :01 longer than it should have been. The result was an extra play for Sparty, which won the game 26-24.

The Detroit News is counting down their top 5 UM-MSU games in the series, with "Clockgate" earning their #4 spot.
Michigan coach Lloyd Carr could not hide his anger after the game.

"I'm very proud of our football team," he said. "I'm very proud of the effort they gave. They deserve better."

He was asked if he meant the Wolverines deserved better from the officiating.

"They deserve better," he said, tersely.

Did he feel cheated?

"They deserve better," he said again.
Regretful tweeting. There's obviously something mysterious in the water in Columbus, we all know that by now. But honestly, what compels a sportstalk radio host to tweet that he would like Desmond Howard to die is beyond this blogger's realm of comprehension.
Dave Van Stone, president and general manager of WBNS 97.1 The Fan, confirmed Tuesday that Scott Torgerson has been suspended indefinitely for the tweet. WBNS is an ESPN affiliate and the flagship station for Ohio State athletics.
WBNS' Scott Torgerson tweeted over the weekend that he wished Howard, a former Heisman Trophy winner at Ohio State's chief rival Michigan, would get fired or die so Torgerson could again watch ESPN's College GameDay.
First of all, who doesn't love Des? Second, how can someone mix Boone's Farm, Four Loko and Twitter so haphazardly?

BTNNNN. If you haven't watched BTN's documentary about the 1997 Michigan season, sit back and enjoy. It's one of the best I've seen. And I've seen 'em all!

This is Ballantine Hall! Some guy named Josh Cocks is our tour guide around IU's campus.

Texas, why you no stay? OU-Texas was no fun for one of the teams...guess which one. This photo was taken in the second half, long after the outcome was decided.
