MGoHello

Well this HUGE recruiting weekend is underway and Ward didn't even give it a chance to start before letting Hoke and company know that he will declare his commitment to the Wolverines.  ESPN's Chantel Jennings (who is along side Ward on his twitter avi) was the first to break the news that the 6'9" 290 lb. OL out of Chicago Hales Franciscan HS (IL) would become the second member of Team 135, joining LB Michael Ferns.  Here's how Ward broke the news via twitter:

Not much is known of Ward up to this point.  He has unbelievable size and potential, but just picked up football this season and only has 5 or 6 games under his belt.  So where his upside is very high, whether or not he has elite ability is still yet to be seen.

'13 commit OL Logan Tully-Tillman was a big factor in his recruiting.  I reported before Ward's visit last week that he had canceled the visit to attend another Purdure game.  Well last week, the Michigan atmosphere and Tully-Tillman must've made a huge impact on this kid, and now here we are welcoming Denzel into the Maize and Blue Nation!

Other Offers
Only held one off from Purdue, who actually seemed to make a big impression on Ward.

Hype Video
No video was found, but like I said, the kid hasn't been playing football that long.  One will come, don't worry.

Something Scary to Think About
Michigan already has one of the top, if the the top, OL classes in the '13 class.  Starting off the '14 class with an elite (hopefully) OL prospects is only adding fuel to the fire.  This O-line could be nasty, and I like it!
