Recruitaholics: Presented by Hoke and Company

I came across something this week I thought y'all would like to see and felt it needed to be posted. Also a list of visitors for this week contest against Iowa and a few more reactions from last week's NW game.

Wolverines247's Clint Brewster put together a story titled,"Finish Line: Michigan" that deals with how the '13 class could, eventually, turn out.  And Brewster is very rich with his list, but Michigan seems to have a fair shot with everyone listed (only one you may/may not recognize, OL Tunsil), so how can you blame him?  Oh yea, there's also a current commit on the list...
With college football's national signing day less than three months away, college staffs are starting the stretch run to finish the 2013 cycle. In our newest “finish line” feature, 247Sports and Wolverine247.com takea look at the top remaining prospects for Michigan, which currently has the nation's No. 3 class according to 247Sports.
Laquon Treadwell, WR, Crete (Ill.) Crete-Monee
Treadwell has taken more visits to Michigan than any other school recruiting him. The top player in Illinois was once thought to be a Michigan lock and the Wolveries remain in the thick of things, but so is Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss. Treadwell’s recruitment will heat up after his senior season concludes and the official visit process begins.
Wolverine247.com’s Clint Brewster on Treadwell’s recruitment: “Treadwell is most comfortable at Michigan and the Wolverines have made it clear they want Treadwell more than any other program. He almost pulled the trigger for Michigan this summer at The Opening and I believe when the ink dries it will be Michigan on top. Ole Miss is the darkhorse for Treadwell, where his good friend and former teammate Anthony Standifer plays cornerback.”

Derrick Green, RB, Richmond (Va.) Hermitage
Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Oregon, and Ole Miss are the programs still in the running for Green, who just took his third official visit to Auburn over the weekend. Green visited Michigan for the third time two weeks ago, and gave the Wolverines very high remarks. Right now, we like where Michigan stands in Green’s recruitment but every school involved still seems to have a shot at landing the talented back. Green’s next two visits will be to Oregon on Nov. 17 and Ole Miss the following weekend.
Brewster on Green’s recruitment: “Michigan makes the most sense for Green, with the Wolverines moving towards a downhill running game next season. Green also wants to play as a true freshman, and that opportunity looms large in his decision. Green’s recruitment will likely come down to a signing day toss up.”

Gareon Conley, CB/Ath., Massillon (OH) Washington

The Michigan commit has expressed interest in visiting Oregon and Ohio State, therefore putting Brady Hoke’s no visit rule for into effect. Conley has confirmed he will either end up at Michigan, Ohio State, or Oregon with one key part of the visit equation yet to transpire.
Brewster on Conley’s recruitment: “Obviously the key here will be whether or not Conley ends up taking other visits. Conley is hesitant to visit Ohio State and Oregon because they have not offered yet. If the offers come, Conley’s recruitment will get very interesting.”

Laremy Tunsil, OT, Columbia (Fla.) Lake City

Michigan has reached out to the top offensive tackle in the 2013 class, and Tunsil has expressed interest in a visit to Ann Arbor. Georgia, Alabama, and Florida, look like the teams to beat for Tunsil at this point, but Michigan is hoping to take their swing come December.
Brewster on Tunsil’s recruitment: “Michigan is in an unfavorable fight for Tunsil because his mother doesn’t want him to venture farther than Alabama for college.”
Note on Michigan offensive line recruiting: Michigan has also reached out to Canadian four-star offensive tackle David Knevel, and more names are likely to pop up on the offensive line for Michigan in the 2013 class.

Leon McQuay III, S, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood
Florida State, Oregon, USC, Vanderbilt and Michigan are the final five teams in the running for McQuay. The fourth ranked safety in the 2013 class, McQuay has already visited Vanderbilt, Oregon, and Michigan over the weekend. McQuay will visit officially visit Florida State on November 23rd and USC on Dec. 7.
Brewster on McQuay's recruitment: “Florida State and USC appear to be the teams in the drivers seat right now for McQuay, but don’t count anyone out right now. McQuay had a good visit to Michigan over the weekend and the Wolverines could have made up some ground. Florida State and USC will get the final stabs at McQuay, which could be the deciding factor.”

Here's my take on each prospect:

WR LaQuon Treadwell:  Listen, Michigan has been at the top of his list ,or so it seems, since his recruitment began, as Brewster point out above.  So it may be as simple as this...Treadwell is still in the playoffs and has said that he will not visit any schools until after his season is over (advantage Michigan).  But if Treadwell has a visit that "blows him away," then we may have something to worry about.  If not, I think he pledges to Hoke and company.  Also, keep an eye out to see where '13 #1 recruit DE Robert Nkemdiche ends up.  Treadwell has Ole Miss high on his list and this could make a big difference to sway him away from Ann Arbor.

RB Derrick Green:  Brewster is spot on when it comes to predicting where Green ends up.  Tough to tell.  Michigan definitely makes sense, especially now that we are getting a glimpse of what the future offense under Al Borgis is going to look like.  This pro-style offense could be huge in pulling in Green and a couple of other recruits as well, Treadwell included.

DB Gareon Conley:  Not much to add really.  Very good analysis:  If he gets offered by OSU or Oregon, then he may just take those visits.  Only time will tell here.

OL Laremy Tunsil:  Tunsil has been one of many OL prospects that Michigan has been reaching (back) out to to see if they still have genuine interest.  Doesn't look good with most unfortunately, but maybe one will "foam at the mouth" at the oppurtunity of joining this very talented '13 OL class Michigan has already put together.

S Leon McQuay III:  One thing needs to be remembered when we look at whether or not Hoke and company can pull in McQuay III:  He had a lot of interest in Michigan before the coaches said they may be out of spots in this class if he didn't commit soon.  So now that it seems Michigan is back in the picture, there is no reason to believe that the Wolverines aren't back in his top list.  Plus he is enrolling early and may not be able to make his other visits due to his HS playoffs.  That could be big for Michigan.
