The Saline Police Department arrested University of Michigan starting running back Fitzgerald Toussaint in Ann Arbor Saturday night on charges of operating a vehicle while impaired, according to Detective Don Lupi.Brady Hoke on Fitz's arrest:
Saline Police arrested Toussaint at approximately 11:45 p.m. while working in downtown Ann Arbor on drunk driving detail, Lupi said.
"Fitz made a poor decision and has been suspended indefinitely because of that action," Hoke said. "There are expectations that come with being a football student-athlete at the University of Michigan and those responsibilities were not met in this instance. We will use this as an opportunity to educate Fitz and make sure he understands the high standards that we have established within our program."Translation: Don't expect to see Fitz in Dallas on September 1st. That would be a huge loss for the offense. Details are still forthcoming so we'll see how this plays out.
UPDATE: Frank Clark was accused of allegedly breaking the law as well. He supposedly stole a MacBook Air from a residence hall. Wonderful! He is suspended indefinitely.
