Chris was originally expected to announce his college decision next month at “The Opening” but, with his family with him in Ann Arbor, the chance to commit to Michigan was too much to pass up.

I absolutely love what Chris brings to the table. He’s got great size (6’6, 250), to play the tight end position in college. With the tight end position always evolving, its players like Chris that can make a difference on the field. He has no problem lining up on the offensive line to set blocks or, on the outside as a pass catcher. A lot of his game reminds me of current Wolverine Devin Funchess. Clark possesses great hands for a tight end and, comes down with the ball almost every time it’s thrown his way. After watching his highlight film, I was amazed by his athleticism. There are numerous passes in his highlights thrown his way, that shouldn't have even been caught. One hand or two, it doesn't matter Chris will come down with the ball. He has good speed for a kid his size and, doesn't shy away from contact. For his Avon Old Farms high school team, Chris was a constant redzone threat.

One aspect of his game I find much underrated is his blocking ability. Chris is able to set blocks for the run quite well and, does a great job of setting blocks in pass protection. Chris will most likely be an every down, multi-year starter while at Michigan.

Speaking with 24/7’s Steve Wiltfong, Chris had this to say about his commitment to Michigan.

"Just the fact I want to have the opportunity to recruit at The Opening," Clark said, "I want to let people know I'm at Michigan and I'd like to tell people they're building big things at Michigan and tell them to be part of it.
"I just feel so good at Michigan. I thought it would be a great day to do it with my mom and dad here."
Chris had visited Michigan State the night prior to committing to Michigan.

Chris caught 39 passes for 417 yards and 6 touchdowns as a junior in high school.
