Michigan-UNLV Notebook

Michigan 28, UNLV 7 Post-Game Notebook:

- Rudock continued to struggle on finding a rhythm in the passing game. He seemed to be out of sync finding receivers whether in open or in coverage. Rudock missed a wide open Jake Butt in the endzone and a wide open Drake Johnson in the flats later in the game.

- Wilton Speight took over for Rudock rather than Morris, all but ensuring he will given a redshirt this season. Speight went 0/3 but tried to stretch the field with a downfield passing game. Two of Speights passes should have been caught for touchdowns. One was just off the fingertips of Grant Perry, and the other was a missed defensive pass interference.

-De'Veon Smith, one week off of having a career day struggled mightily to find any space. Smith got the third straight start, but couldn't get going at all.

-Derrick Green appears to be in Jim Harbaughs dog house, seven other players (not counting Rudock) received carries before he did. The only player who got a carry after Green was Ross Taylor-Douglas.
