Well, if there was one moment from Saturday that Michigan and tOSU fans can agree was amazing, it was the fly-over by two Air Force F-16 Vipers at the end of the national anthem.
This is the second time I've experienced a jet fly-over at the Big House. If you've never seen one live, you really should. There is no way I could explain how awesome it is. These jets were flying low and fast. And the noise...my God the noise. The stadium already had a nice buzz going because it was such a big game. This fly-over was like throwing a gallon of gasoline on a camp fire. The place was going crazy.
Sitting about halfway up in the north endzone, we had a perfect view of the jets coming right at us. I didn't have my camera cued, as I should have, but some other folks did...

Um, F-16 Fighting Falcon...not sure where Viper came from. Yeh, I am that guy today
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-16_Fighting_Falcon
From that wikipedia article:
ReplyDeleteAlthough the F-16's official name is "Fighting Falcon", it is known to its pilots as the "Viper", due to it resembling a viper snake and after the Battlestar Galactica starfighter.
