Hello aspiring sports writer(s)! Do you have a strong passion for sports, writing, and Michigan athletics? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for you. As we head into the 2023 season, MBN is looking for someone (or some people) to cover Michigan football for our site. Details are below.
What am I looking for?
Football Coverage
Football Coverage
Complete coverage of Michigan football player, coach, and team activities. What would that entail? Beat writer-style coverage – news stories, features, game previews/recaps, recruiting coverage as needed and whatever else you want to bring to the table.
Site Support/Growth Ambassador
I've been running MBN myself since it's inception in 2007. The ideal person would be someone who would be willing to partner with me to help grow the site.
Basketball? Hockey?
We know we're a football blog, but we could be so much more. These are huge sports at Michigan that go completely uncovered by MBN. I don't know if we could get someone credentialed to cover these sports, but we could try.

MBN is a fully credentialed media outlet that's been covering Michigan football consistently since 2009. We have full access to all football games, press conferences, and media events.
Readers
We do have great exposure to the Michigan online community via this site and social media channels. A lot of people will read what you write.

All I am looking for is someone to provide quality content. I will handle the operation of the site and all that goes along with that.
Really, you get out what you put into it. I can't make any promises other than if you want to get your voice out there, this is a great place to do that.
Requirements?
• Writing samples are a must and sports writing experience is highly preferred.
• An enthusiasm unknown to mankind for Michigan Football.
• A willingness to devote time and effort to doing this. We know this won't be your main gig, and probably a side hustle. That's okay. Could this become something more? Absolutely. But we can't promise anything.
• We're not looking for hot heads. Our goal is to maintain a professional approach to Michigan football coverage.
