Outgoing: Chris Barnett

After a rather smooth transition from one coaching administration to another, it would seem we're getting all of our Hoke defections done in one week...the last week of fall camp. Incoming freshman TE Chris Barnett has tweeted that he's leaving the program. This marks the third of the 2011 class to leave before the season starts.

Barnett hails from Hurst, Texas. Michigan was his third commitment. He was committed to Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and then us. Rival rated him a 4-star, Scout a 3. He signed with Michigan on national signing day. His outgoing tweet was rather simple: "No longer at the University of Michigan".

Okay then.

This leaves Michigan with few seasoned TE options outside of projected starter and offensive leader Kevin Koger. Other options you might not have heard of include: 5th year senior Steve Watson (three-year letterman...on defense), redshirt junior Brandon Moore (1 catch for 19 yards), and redshirt freshman Ricardo Miller (no catches ever).

Soooo...we'll have to just hope Koger stays healthy.

On a side note, this is my 1000th post to this blog. Yay for me!
