Just Remember...

...it was a false media report that led to the entire world claiming that Rodriguez had been fired yesterday. It was not David Brandon or anyone else at the University that leaked this news. Nothing official came out when the news was broke yesterday afternoon, and no other media outlets besides Fox 2 Detroit were claiming that Rodriguez was fired.

Clearly, someone at Fox took it upon themselves to release a story that either they thought was correct, or assumed would be correct soon and just wanted to be the first to break the story.

This is poor journalism at it's finest.

I would like to stress this point. The University did not release this story and then spend all yesterday evening retracting it. It was an outside news source.

As far as we know, only this has taken place...

Brandon met with Rodriguez for over 3 hours yesterday, and at no time was Rodriguez fired or let go from his coaching position. A full team meeting was originally scheduled for 7PM, and was rescheduled for today at 4PM. The two will reconvene today to further discuss Rodriguez's employment.

All coaching options are still on the table. That includes Harbaugh. That includes Hoke. That includes every other coaching candidate. And that also includes Rodriguez.

Until an official word comes down from the University, this process should be considered ongoing and under control. There is not a rule that says a coach should be fired or decisions should be made in 5 minutes.

Trust in the process. Patience is a virtue. Go Blue.
